This is the famous publisher's database. All the pertinent information you need is at your fingertips. Know what genres a given publisher likes to print, and keep tabs on who's who. Search by name, by genre, pay rate or any other category from the tables. To give you a head start, for a limited time, The Writer's Source will ship with a listing of over 100 publishers, updated as of August, 2005.
One of the hardest thing for any writer is to make submissions, the then keep track of where everything is. With the submission tracker, this is easy. A pull-down menu links to your portfolio. Click in the field, scroll down to the story you're submitting and that field is done. Another one links to the publishers directory. Scroll down to the company you've chosen to see you work and that one is filled in. The rest is as easy as filling in the date you sent it out. When a work is accepted fill that in. For those rare rejections, there's a place for those as well.
Links at the top of each page takes you to whichever form you need next. When you're done, your changes are automatically saved when you close out the program. What could be easier?
